#NightBeforeXmas

Whether it’s a one-parent or a two-parent family, when a child has to go to the Emergency Room at the hospital on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or Boxing Day, it’s hard on everyone in the family.  That’s why Missy Barrett created the “Missy Barrett and Friends’ Night Before Christmas Project.”

The idea was first mentioned in the Missy Barrett story “Bats’n’Cats: A Missy Barrett Hallowe’en Story” published in October 2018.  In 2019, fictional 9-year-old Missy Barrett and her real life friends are making this idea a reality for injured or sick children brought to LeConte Medical Center in Sevierville (TN) on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Boxing Day.

Together, Missy Barrett and friends are putting together 32 small tote bags with needed items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and water bottles, and fun items such as coloring pages and crayons, flash cards, puzzles, and more.

Missy Barrett’s friends (when you click on their names, you go to their websites) participating in filling these small tote bags are:
